Exchange & Store Credit Policy
Rooted Threads does not offer refunds or returns.
We offer either an exchange or store credit for eligible items, subject to review and approval.
We do not offer both for the same request.
All exchange and store credit requests must be submitted using the Exchange & Store Credit Request Form available on our website. Requests submitted through other channels may not be reviewed.
Exchange-Eligible Items
The following items may be eligible for exchange:
• Bonnets
• Caps
• T-shirts
• Purses and tote bags
• Wallets
• Wraps and scarves
•
To qualify for an exchange, all of the following must apply:
• The item is unused
• The item is undamaged
• The item is in original condition
• The request is submitted within 3 days of receipt using the Exchange & Store Credit Request Form
All exchanges are subject to product availability.
If the requested exchange item is no longer in stock, you may choose one of the following options:
• Receive a store credit equal to the purchase amount, or
• Keep your original item
If you choose to keep your original item after being notified that the exchange item is unavailable, this will be considered a final resolution of your exchange or store credit request.
For approved exchanges, Rooted Threads will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
Store Credit
Approved store credit:
• May be used at any time
• Is valid for one (1) year from the original date of purchase
• Is issued in the form of a Rooted Threads digital gift card
Store credit is non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged, please complete the Exchange & Store Credit Request Form found on our website within 3 days of receipt.
Please include:
• Clear photos of the damage
Once your request is reviewed and approved, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label and resolve the issue with an exchange or store credit, as appropriate.
Final Sale Items
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for exchange or store credit:
• Scrunchies
• Hair bows
• All other accessories not listed as exchange-eligible above
Pop-Up & In-Person Sales
All purchases made at in-person pop-up events are final sale.
No refunds, exchanges, or store credits are offered for pop-up or in-person purchases.
Exchange & Store Credit Processing Timelines
Approved exchanges will be processed once the original item has been received.
If your exchange or store credit request is approved, you will be provided with a prepaid return shipping label to return the original item, if applicable.
Once the original item is received, please allow up to 14 days for exchange processing.
If a store credit is issued instead, please allow up to 48 hours for processing.
