1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Rooted Threads website (“our website,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you may not access or use our website or purchase our products.

2. About Rooted Threads

Rooted Threads, LLC is a family-owned, youth-directed retail social enterprise. Our website offers visitors the ability to purchase cultural fashion and accessories, including but not limited to:

• Hair accessories and headwear (ROOTS line – scrunchies, bows, barrettes, bonnets)

• Apparel and caps (THREADED line – T-shirts, fitted hats, themed collections)

• Goods made from reclaimed fabrics (NOTHING WASTED line – totes, pouches, bookmarks, sleeves)

• Limited edition collections and collaborative pieces

Each product is crafted with cultural pride and intentional design, often handmade in Ghana in collaboration with artisans.

3. Purchases & User Responsibilities

When buying an item, you agree that:

1. You are responsible for reading the full product description before committing to buy.

2. You enter into a legally binding contract to purchase when you complete the checkout process.

3. You provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information for your order.

4. Pricing & Payment

• All prices are listed in U.S. dollars.

• We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time and to correct errors that may occur.

• Additional information about taxes and payment methods is available during checkout.

• Any fees (such as taxes or transaction fees) will be charged to your selected payment method at the time of purchase.

5. Returns, Exchanges, and Small-Batch Availability

No refunds. Because our products are handmade in small batches, we do not offer refunds.

Handmade variation. Natural variation in pattern placement, stitching, or finish is expected with artisan-made goods. Quality standards remain high and each item is inspected before shipment.

Defective or damaged on arrival. If your item appears defective or arrives damaged, email a clear photo or video and your order number to issue@ourrootedthreads.com within 14 days of delivery to initiate an exchange claim. Once verified, we will provide exchange instructions. For approved defects, we cover the cost of the replacement shipment. You are responsible for returning the original item unless otherwise stated in our email instructions.

Small-batch and limited inventory. Many items are produced locally in Ghana in limited quantities. If an identical item is unavailable for exchange, we will offer a suitable replacement of equal value. If no suitable replacement is available, we will issue a refund for the affected item.

Final sale items. Items marked final sale, custom, or personalized are not eligible for exchange except in cases of verified defect on arrival.

6. Warranties

If we determine your product has a manufacturing defect, we will exchange it for the same item. If the same item is unavailable due to small-batch limitations, we will offer a suitable replacement of equal value. If no suitable replacement is available, we will refund the purchase price of the affected item. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper care, or expected handmade variation.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this site—including logos, designs, photographs, graphics, product mockups, and original works—is the exclusive property of Rooted Threads, LLC and protected under U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, display, or create derivative works from our materials without prior written consent.

• Any unauthorized use of our intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

8. User-Submitted Content

If users are permitted to upload content (e.g., images, testimonials, reviews), you certify that you own the rights or licenses to such content and that it may be made publicly available. Rooted Threads is not responsible for user-submitted content but reserves the right to remove content deemed harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate.

9. Promotions & Communication

By using our site, you agree that we may send you promotional messages, updates, or notices through the contact information you provide (including email, mail, phone, or text).

10. Limitation of Liability

• Rooted Threads is not responsible for damages resulting from misuse of our products or services.

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item(s) you bought from us.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Fulton County, Georgia.

12. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
